Proposed Development Activity

Description: Site Investigation for AFLOWT (Accelerating market uptake of FLoating Offshore Wind Technology) testing/demonstrating of Offshore Floating Wind (FOW) technology. Sub-bottom Profiling and Cone Penetration Testing to inform on the proposed deployment of a turbine of up to 6MW at AMETS (Atlantic MArine Energy Test Site) in partnership with SEAI off the west coast of Co. Mayo.

Location: AMETS Test Site, off the Mayo coast

Submissions can be made (from Monday, 17 August 2020) to: Marine Planning Policy and Development, Department of Housing, Planning, and Local Government, Newtown Road, Wexford, Co. Wexford or foreshore@housing.gov.ie

Submissions received outside of the public consultation period cannot be considered.

The Department wishes to draw attention to its policy on defamatory material that may be contained in submissions it receives.
