Transport Investment

- Over the next 5 years, €2.97–€3.44 billion will be invested in transport projects to support housing in Ireland’s five cities.
- Examples include:
- Cork: Commuter rail upgrades to enable housing in Blackpool, Carrigtwohill, Mahon, City Quays, and Tivoli.
- Dublin: Projects to support homes in Ballymun, Barnhill/Kellystown, Broombridge, Clonburris, Dunsink, and Lissenhall.
- Galway: Redevelopment of Ceannt and Oranmore stations for about 2,000 homes.
- Limerick: New Moyross station and Colbert redevelopment to support 6,500 homes plus student accommodation.
- Waterford: Relocated Plunkett Station and new sustainable transport bridge to create a new city quarter on the North Quays.
