Urban Regeneration and Development Fund

The URDF Call 3 Fund is a €150 million fund that helps councils buy long-term vacant or derelict properties and bring them back into use. These properties can then be sold at market value, and the money from sales goes back into the fund to keep the programme running.

  • So far, over 1,300 properties have been approved for redevelopment, with an expected 5,000 homes delivered by 2030.
  • The Government plans to expand the fund to tackle more derelict sites, especially in town centres, where new homes can help regenerate surrounding areas.
