Kilkenny Abbey Quarter

Thanks to €19.9m URDF Funding, Abbey Quarter in Kilkenny will become a vibrant new urban quarter in the heart of the medieval city. The new quarter will provide an exceptional business location for companies seeking outstanding global connectivity and the capacity to attract high calibre talent. Waterford North Quays

This is a major public infrastructure partnership project between Waterford City and County Council and Irish Rail to provide access to the North Quays SDZ on the north side of the River Suir and link to the existing Waterford city centre on the south side of the River. URDF funding of €110m will support the development of 3 transport-focussed projects which aims to provide more integrated transport access to the City. Clonburris

The URDF Clonburris project involves the provision of critical supplementary strategic infrastructure that will be essential to the appropriate further development of this unique and complex site. The €186.3 million in URDF funding will enable the development of one of the most strategically important development sites in the country, with 280 hectares of zoned Greenfield lands with rail access to Dublin City Centre (in less than 15 minutes). The funding will make it possible for a whole new town to be built in west Dublin, the first project of its kind in a generation. For further information see https://clonburris.ie/


Ballina Innovation Quarter

This completed URDF Project has seen the redevelopment and conservation of the protected structure Ballina Military Barracks and the creation of a new Innovation Quarter as a catalyst for urban regeneration in the town. Thanks to €6.7m URDF funding, This state-of-the-art facility will be occupied by a digital innovation / enterprise hub (a collaboration between Mayo County Council and Moy Valley Resources).
