Background
The Dlí Legal Internships Programme introduces the next generation of law students into the Civil Service. It offers an excellent opportunity to undergraduate law students of Irish 3rd level institutions to gain paid work experience and mentoring in divisions of the Department which play key roles within the Justice sector. The internship is operated in close collaboration and cooperation with Placement officers/Law Departments of third level institutions such as:
- Dublin City University
- Maynooth University
- University College Cork
- University of Galway
- University of Limerick
Successful candidates will gain practical experience of the legislative process, stakeholder engagement and Oireachtas procedures and protocols.

Tenure
Between 8 to 9 months
Eligibility to apply
Applicants must be studying towards an honours degree in Law in one of the participating Irish third-level institutions. following Irish third-level institutions: UCC, DCU, NUI Galway, University of Limerick or NUI Maynooth.
