EU Training for Service Providers

Training for Service Providers on the e-Evidence decentralised IT System

The European Commission is hosting ‘Train the Trainer’ training sessions specifically for service providers subject to the EU e-Evidence Package, which will come into effect later this year.

The training will focus on how service providers can use the decentralised IT system in order to receive/respond to European Preservation and Production Orders issued under the e-Evidence package. The decentralised IT system is a secure communication channel which will allow service providers to directly receive requests for electronic evidence (European Preservation and Production Orders) from law enforcement and judicial authorities across the EU. Service providers will be connected to the decentralised IT system through a national IT system, which will be installed by each EU country.

The training sessions are intended to teach subject matter experts or relevant employees how the new system will work, so that they can, in turn, share this knowledge with relevant colleagues in their organisation. For this reason, we ask service providers to consider the number of representatives who need to attend, as there will be restrictions on the number of attendees for each training event.

The training will be delivered by the European Commission and will take place throughout May and June on the following dates:

  • 6th May 2026
  • 20th May 2026
  • 27th May 2026
  • 10th June 2026
  • 17th June 2026
  • 24th June 2026
