- €3.6 million will be made available to 117 not-for-profit, civil society and community-based organisations for integration based projects
- grants of up to €100,000 will be allocated to successful organisations to assist in the integration of migrants
The Minister of State for Migration, Colm Brophy, today announced the 117 community-based projects set to receive €3,612,974 in funding under the 2025 Integration Fund. The Fund helps enable community organisations across Ireland to play a greater role in promoting the integration of migrants.
The Integration Fund combines the two funds previously known as the International Protection Integration Fund and the Communities Integration Fund. Since their inception, both funds have provided close to €10 million in funding to over 1,000 projects across the country.
Speaking from a project based in Wexford, Minister of State Brophy said:
“I am delighted to announce the list of successful local groups who will receive funding from the Integration fund today. The Integration Fund has been established for local community groups and civil society organisations who have been working tirelessly to promote and further integration within Irish society. Carrying out this work in an increasingly divisive world deserves to be recognised and commended. It is only through greater understanding and working together as local groups that we can improve integration and make Ireland a better and more tolerant country to live in for everyone.”
Minister Brophy continued:
“The projects which have been successful, such as the Places of Sanctuary project here in Wexford represent the best of Ireland, an Ireland that is welcoming and tolerant to others. I am pleased to see such wonderful and deserving projects right across the country receive this funding.’’
Minister Brophy concluded:
“Ireland needs migration. This Integration Fund recognised that migration impacts communities, and we should work together as communities to make our society, stronger and more cohesive.’’
Notes
The 2025 Integration Fund Open Call for proposals ran from 3 July 2025 – 31 July 2025. €3.6 million has been made available in 2025 to support successful projects through grant funding of €10,000 to €100,000 per successful Scheme A project and €1,000 to €10,000 per successful Scheme B project.
Scheme A was open to projects that specifically promote the integration of International Protection Applicants; while Scheme B was open to smaller scale projects that promote the integration of any migrant group. All applications have been assessed against the selection criteria set out in the funding call guidelines.
This level of funding has been made available in 2025 as a targeted measure and parity funding may not be available in future editions of the fund.
