Acting Director General of Forensic Science Ireland

The Director General of Forensic Science Ireland has responsibility to set the strategy for the provision of a forensic science service to the Criminal Justice System. The holder has overall responsibility for Forensic Science Ireland and is the named national point of contact for DNA exchanges in the arrangements for the Prum decision as outlined in the DNA database 2014 Act.
