Head of Governance for Criminal Justice

The Governance function is the oversight function for the Criminal Justice Bodies under the aegis of the department. Working collaboratively, the function ensures that Bodies have a clear strategy, meet agreed standards of performance, transparency and governance, and manage their resources appropriately. The Governance function supports independent Bodies to perform effectively and adopt a consistent approach based on recognised standards, which can be tailored to each Body as appropriate to ensure clarity, fairness and accountability.
