FOI Publication Scheme

Section 8 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 requires FOI bodies to prepare and publish as much information as possible.

The purpose of this process is to provide information about the operations of the department and the Minister for the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation in an open and accessible manner on a routine basis.

It also allows for the publication of information outside of FOI where the provision of information is not prohibited by law.

The Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation will be proactive and will publish material regularly under this scheme. The department is open to suggestions on the types and content of material that could be published regularly under this scheme, in addition to the published material already available on the department’s website.

The section 8 scheme of the department is set out in this document and it follows the format of the model publication scheme as approved by the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.
