The State Examinations Commission has entered into a Data Sharing Agreement under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 with the Educational Research Centre, for the purpose of facilitating the Delivering Equality of opportunity In Schools (DEIS) and the Special Education Teacher (SET) allocation programmes in post-primary schools. This sharing of data will assist research, assessment, and evaluation conducted by the Educational Research Centre on behalf of the Department of Education to facilitate policy making, and make improvements in the educational and examination services.
