The Digital PAF (or D-PAF) system
Time: 12-12.30pm
The Digital PAF (or D-PAF) system is a business optimisation project that streamlined and automated DCDE’s manual Payment Authorisation Form (PAF) process for the payment of invoices to private sector suppliers. D-PAF is very much aligned with Better Public Services and the transformation framework. D-PAF has succeeded in:

  • reducing the manual effort needed to pay invoices
  • introducing efficiencies and speeding up the process
  • automating certain controls
  • enhancing the department's financial reporting capacity

The department is using D-PAF as a stepping stone in our transition to the NSSO’s FMSS project, and in this context D-PAF represents an important development in our journey to develop the workforce and organisation of the future. D-PAF has increased our organisational agility. The department also has greater access to real time information and a suite of automated reports generated by the system, allowing our staff to leverage data to inform decision making and improve controls.
