The courses below from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) provide learning and development opportunities for Public Servants in Artificial Intelligence, Human Resources, Innovation, Project Management and Quality Customer Service.
Artificial Intelligence
The course aligns with the public service transformation strategy Better Public Services which aims to enhance service delivery through technology and digitisation, and will equip participants with the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as it’s potential and implications for public service organisations. This course will be delivered online. Places are limited to 25 per course.

Artificial Intelligence Masterclass for Senior Public Service Leaders
During the AI Masterclass, the IPA's experienced facilitators will use a mixture of presentations, discussions and challenges, providing an opportunity to learn with, and from colleagues implementing, or considering implementing, AI across the Public Service.

Discovering Generative AI Applications in the Public Service
During this one day workshop participants will engage in a collaborative workshop to:
- Map out the journey of a civil / public servant and identify potential Generative AI uses.
- Develop, document and present a use case for Generative AI applications in their day to day work.
- Identify risks associated with their use case, focusing on data security, bias, and ethical implications.

Unlocking the potential of AI in the Public Service
Participants will engage in a collaborative workshop to:
- Explore existing AI use cases and understand their applications.
- Identify potential AI applications in their own departments.
- Develop structured use cases highlighting the benefits and ROI of AI projects.
- Analyse and address ethical considerations and risk management strategies.

CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice
Using a blended learning approach, participants will attend a series of 11 days of Online Live Workshops

The Certified Mediation Training programme is facilitated over seven days in three modules, over a two to three month period

Innovation
Professional Diploma in Public Service Innovation
The IPA’s Professional Diploma in Public Service Innovation has been designed in the context of the Better Public Services strategy, which aims to help the public service identify and prioritise actions for transformation. Delivered by a team of public service innovation specialists over four immersive modules, it will enable students collaboratively tackle real-world challenges by employing proven ways of innovative thinking and practice.

Introduction to Business Process Innovation
This two-day Introduction to Business Process Innovation Course will be delivered online and facilitated by a subject matter expert.

Project Management
Project Management in Practice
This Programme Management fundamentals course is led by an experienced project and programme manager and trainer and will use a variety of approaches during the course including presentations, discussion groups, and group exercises.

This PRINCE2® 7 Foundation Exam Preparation Course and Certification is a specialist led training course including presentations, facilitated discussion, feedback and learning reviews with worked examples, mock exams and exam preparation.
