Community Centre Investment Fund 2026

The Department has announced the opening of the €25 million Community Centre Investment Fund to support the enhancement of community facilities nationwide.

The fund will provide capital grants ranging from €10,000 to €100,000 for the upgrade and refurbishment of existing community centres. Supported works will include improvements to building infrastructure, accessibility, energy efficiency and interior spaces, helping to ensure centres remain inclusive and fit for purpose.

Information sessions will be held to support potential applicants, providing guidance on the application process and eligibility requirements. The first one will take place on April 8th 2026. You can register here

This latest round builds on significant previous investment under the scheme, which has supported hundreds of projects across the country, strengthening the role of community centres as vital hubs for local activity and engagement.

Applications for the 2026 scheme are expected to open in late May and close in mid-July.
