The following are guidelines for the operation of local community development commitees, revised by the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government under section 128E(4) of the Local Government Act 2001, as inserted by section 36 of the Local Government Reform Act 2014.

These General Policy Guidelines are issued by the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government to create a common framework for the establishment and operation of Local Community Development Committees in each local authority area.
