Dr. Dermot P. Coates is the Chief Economist and Principal with the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection with responsibility for Activation and Employment Policy, Social Inclusion Policy and Labour Market Analytics. He represents the Department on the EU Employment Committee (EMCO) and the OECD Working Party on Employment. He is also an ex-officio member of the Labour Market Advisory Council. He is currently Adjunct Faculty with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
