Teresa Leonard

Teresa was appointed as Deputy Secretary in March 2021.

Teresa has held many roles in the department, having previously had responsibility for child and disability policy and Divisional services. In that role she gained a good understanding of the challenges facing people with disabilities. While in this position, she worked in partnership with others including agencies and NGOs to improve their opportunities and outcomes.

A career civil servant, she has a long track record and experience of, policy development, service delivery, resource management and service modernisation.
