Organisation Information

Abhaile

Abhaile is the national State funded Mortgage Arrears Resolution Service

Abhaile provides expert financial and legal advice and assistance to borrowers in home mortgage arrears, with the aim to identify, and put into place, solutions to those arrears that will, wherever possible, enable the borrower to remain in their home.

Abhaile is jointly funded and overseen by the Department of Justice and the Department of Social Protection. Abhaile is delivered through several different public organisations. These include the Citizens Information Board (which includes the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS), the Insolvency Service of Ireland, the Legal Aid Board and the Courts Service.

For more information on the Abhaile service, visit the Abhaile page at MABS.
