National Jobs Week 2019 – Key Event in Bray

#JobsWeek2019

National Jobs Week, organised by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, takes place this week from 25 – 29 March 2019 and will see hundreds of Employers and Training Providers showcase at over 80 events around the country.

As part of Jobs Week, the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection and the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) will be hosting a Jobs, Career and Training Event in Bray Institute of Further Education (BIFE) on Tuesday, 26th March 2019 from 10.00am to 1.30pm.

This free event brings employers and stakeholders together under the one roof to showcase the opportunities available to people living in Bray and the surrounding areas. It will be of particular interest to those who are looking for a job in the Hospitality, Catering and Tourism industries, with some 40 employers and stakeholders showcasing at the event.

Commenting on Jobs Week, Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty, TD, said: “Jobs Week offers a great opportunity for jobseekers to meet with employers, exchange advice, and especially, find work. Equally, it provides employers with the opportunity to actively recruit. This year’s events include Job Fairs, information sessions for job seekers on upskilling opportunities and career advice workshops covering CV preparation and interview techniques. It is an opportunity not to be missed by jobseekers looking for work and by employers who are trying to find the most suitable people for their business.”

This dedicated week of activity provides jobseekers and employers the opportunity to network and connect together and to provide information on the services available to jobseekers and employers from the Department’s Intreo service.

As well as advertising job vacancies, the events will include 1-2-1 CV clinics, interview preparation workshops, seminars, career coaching and recruitment fairs targeted at specific industries.
