National Jobs Week, organised by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, will take place from 25 – 29 March 2019 and will see hundreds of Employers and Training Providers showcase at over 80 events around the country.
Throughout the week, there will be a range of events taking place in Cork City and county at which jobseekers will have an opportunity to participate (see below for details).
This dedicated week of activity provides jobseekers and employers the opportunity to network and connect together and to provide information on the services available to jobseekers and employers from the Department’s Intreo service.
As well as advertising job vacancies, the events will include 1-2-1 CV clinics, interview preparation workshops, seminars, career coaching and recruitment fairs targeted at specific industries.
Commenting on Jobs Week, Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty, TD, said: “Jobs Week offers a great opportunity for jobseekers to meet with employers, exchange advice, and especially, find work. Equally, it provides employers with the opportunity to actively recruit. This year’s events include Job Fairs, information sessions for job seekers on upskilling opportunities and career advice workshops covering CV preparation and interview techniques. It is an opportunity not to be missed by jobseekers looking for work and by employers who are trying to find the most suitable people for their business.”
