Gender Pay Gap Report 2025 Department of Social Protection

The Department of Social Protection’s mission is to promote active participation and inclusion in society through the provision of income supports, employment services and other services. To achieve this, the Department recognises that it is crucial to have a diverse, agile, and inclusive workforce which reflects Irish Society today.

This is the fourth Gender Pay Gap (GPG) Report published by the Department of Social Protection and includes information and metrics for the Department in accordance with the Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021.

As men and women of the same grade are paid equally, the GPG report measures the average difference in earning between men and women based on gross hourly earnings of all employees, not just employees at the same grade, work schedule or seniority.
