National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement provides you with information about the processing of personal data carried out by the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority (NAERSA), which administers Ireland’s auto-enrolment retirement savings system, called “MyFutureFund”.

This Statement also explains how you can exercise your rights under the GDPR, the LED and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the law which applies to most kinds of processing of personal data in the EU. The GDPR applies directly in Ireland along with further national rules set out in the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

Where personal data is processed for any one of the purposes of the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, the GDPR does not apply. Instead, the Law Enforcement Directive (LED) covers these situations, the rules for which are found mainly in Part 5 of the Data Protection Act 2018 (which implements the LED into Irish law).
