Consultation overview
The aim of this consultation is to gather stakeholder feedback on the draft Electronic Communications (Security Measures) Regulations 2024 and associated Security Measures Guidelines.
Background
Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, gives statutory notice of his intention to make the Electronic Communications (Security Measures) Regulations 2024, to ensure providers of public electronic communications networks or of publicly available electronic communications service take appropriate and proportionate technical and organisational measures to manage the risks posed to the security of networks and services.
The draft regulations and associated Security Measures Guidelines are also available to view or download above.
How to make a submission
The closing date for submissions has been extended to 5.30pm on Friday, 9 August 2024
