Description:
Mainstream is the world’s leading pure-play renewable energy developer in high growth markets. Following a strategic review of opportunities for commercial scale offshore wind in Ireland, Mainstream has identified potential search or investigation areas which are based on available data and minimise potential impacts to a number of key stakeholders. The cable corridors and windfarm investigation areas are search areas (i.e. the Proposed Windfarm Investigation Area and the Proposed Cable Investigation Area) in which surveys will be carried out to determine where infrastructure could be located following technical review, feasibility studies, modelling of the data acquired and stakeholder consultation. The Wexford Foreshore Licence Application Area (referred to as “Wexford” thereafter) covers an area of approximately 731.8 km2 (73170 Ha) and is located approximately off the west coast of County Wexford and County Waterford, Ireland.

Off Wexford and Waterford coast
