The EPA Air Quality Index measures the number of atmospheric pollutants in the air and tells you the status of the area you are checking.
Pollutants include:
- ozone
- carbon monoxide
- nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen oxides
- sulphur dioxide
- particulate matter
- benzene
- lead
- PAH (poly aromatic hydrocarbons)
- arsenic
- nickel
- cadmium
- mercury
