Mary Butler

Mary Butler is Government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of Health with responsibility for Mental Health. She was appointed to these roles in January 2025.

Representing the Waterford constituency, she has been a member of the Dáil since 2016 and was a councillor in the Comeragh area of Waterford prior to that.

She has a strong background in retail and has vast experience as a business owner. She is married to Mick and has 3 children.
