Shared Island Projects

The Programme for Government and the revised National Development Plan (2021–2035) outline an ambitious agenda for building our Shared Island. All Government Departments play a role in developing and delivering proposals that advance these updated investment priorities across a range of sectors. To date, more than 35 projects are underway with support from the Shared Island Fund.

In November 2025, the Government published a Sectoral Investment Plan on Shared Island priorities as part of the National Development Plan Review.

The plan outlines how the Shared Island Fund, alongside other public funding and all-island co-funding partnerships, will support the objectives of Building our Shared Island.

Shared Island investment priorities are delivered across Government Departments in line with National Development Plan Sectoral Plans.
