IBRC Commission of Investigation - Extension of Deadline for Reporting and Publication of Sixth Interim Report

Following a formal request from the IBRC Commission of Investigation under section 6 (6) of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004, and consultations with opposition leaders, the Taoiseach has extended the timeframe for the Commission to report on the first module of its investigation until 31st March 2020.

The Taoiseach has also decided to publish the Commission’s Sixth Interim Report in which it requested the extension of its timeframe for reporting. Submission of such an Interim Report is a requirement under Section 33 (3) of the Act when an extension of a timeframe for reporting is requested by a Commission. The Taoiseach looks forward to the swift conclusion of its work.
