Please note the following National Parks and Nature Reserves are closed due to the current wind warning issued by Met Éireann:
- Dromore Woods Nature Reserve, Co. Clare
- Burren National Park, Co. Clare
- Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve, Co. Cork
- Gobnet’s Wood, Co. Cork
- Knockomagh Wood Nature Reserve, Co.Cork
- Killarney House and Gardens, Co. Kerry
- Connemara National Park, Co. Galway
- Coole – Garryland Nature Reserve, Co. Galway
- Derryclare Nature Reserve, Co. Galway
- Knockma Wood, near Tuam, Co. Galway
- Laughil Wood, near Pontoon, Co. Mayo
- Old Head Nature Reserve, Co. Mayo
- Wild Nephin, Ballycroy National Park, Co. Mayo
- The Raven Nature Reserve, Co. Wexford
Muckross House, Killarney, Co. Kerry will be closed on Thursday the 20th.
The NPWS would ask the public for their ongoing cooperation on this matter by not entering these sites for the duration of these weather warnings. Further updates will be provided as the weather forecast becomes clearer and/or as Met Éireann weather advisory notices are updated – see www.meteireann.ie for weather warning and updates.
A status red wind warning has been issued by Met Éireann for Cork – valid from 21:00 Wednesday 19/08/2020 to 23:59 Wednesday 19/08/2020, a status orange wind warning has been issued for Munster, Galway and Mayo – valid from 21:00 Wednesday 19/08/2020 to 06:00 Thursday 20/08/2020
