ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

L-6979-0 and L-6142-0 - Ballybrack, Carrignavar, Co. Cork
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs Monday 21st September, 2020 to 18.00hrs Thursday 1st October, 2020. (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Installation of 2 Cattle Underpasses
Alternative Routes
L-6979-0:
Approaching from the R-614 heading northbound or southbound, turn left or right respectively onto the L-6978 at 3 Cross Roads Ballyskerdane. Then turn left onto the L-6980 at 3 Cross Roads North West of Ballindeenisk.
Approaching westbound along the L-6979 turn left along the L-6980 at Scrahane 4 Cross Roads, then turn right onto the L-6978 at 3 Cross Roads North West of Ballindeenisk.
Approaching southbound along the L-6142 continue through Scrahane 4 Cross Roads, then turn right onto the L-6978 at 3 Cross Roads North West of Ballindeenisk.
L-6142-0:
Approaching westbound along the L-6142-19, continue onto the L-6142-0 at the 3 Cross Roads, Ballybrack. Turn left onto the R-614 at the 4 Cross Roads, Ballybrack.
Approaching westbound along the L-6979-21 continue onto the L-6979-0 at Scrahane 4 Cross Roads and then turn right onto the R-614.
Approaching northbound along the L-6980-0 turn left onto the L-6979-0 at Scrahane 4 Cross Roads and then turn right onto the R-614.
Only the L-6979-0 or the L-6142-0 will be closed at any one time.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-145-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 1st September, 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
