Community Rescue Boats

The Community Rescue Boats Ireland (CRBI) are a nationwide group of independent voluntary rescue boats, declared as available to the Coast Guard, who respond to emergencies in their area of responsibility on a 24/7/365 basis. These teams have traditionally been set up following a sea tragedy in the community.

Community Rescue Boats Ireland boats are based at:

  • Cahore, Co Wexford
  • Tramore, Co Waterford
  • Bonmahon, Co Waterford
  • Bantry, Co Cork
  • Derrynane, Co Kerry
  • Banna, Co Kerry
  • Ballyheigue, Co Kerry
  • Ballybunion, Co Kerry
  • Schull, Co Cork
  • Limerick City (Shannon waterway)
  • Corrib/Mask, Co Galway lakes
