Assistant Secretary, Climate Action and EU/International Affairs Division

The Climate Action and EU / International Affairs Division is responsible for developing and delivering climate action policy for the transport sector in line with Ireland’s national and international obligations. This includes policies in relation to Zero Emission Vehicles, Renewable / Alternative Fuels for Transport, Transport Sectoral Adaptation Plans, Sustainable Mobility including active travel, greenways and shared mobility, and Moving Together – the national travel demand management strategy. Responsibilities in relation to EU, North-South and International Affairs include the coordination, development and representation of Ireland’s position on transport and climate matters at relevant international for a and the delivery of the transport aspects of Ireland’s Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers.
