Donegal County Council proposes to construct a footpath at Millbrae to enhance safety, functionality and connectivity for pedestrians and vulnerable road users in the area and provide additional capacity to meet the full development aspirations for Stranorlar.

The project will include:

  • a new 3m wide footpath on the eastern side of Millbrae from the N15 junction at Mc Clays Corner to Finn Valley A.C
  • provision of a new uncontrolled crossing on Millbrae at the N15 Junction at Mc Clays Corner
  • provision of a controlled crossing on Millbrae at the Finn Valley A.C
  • upgrades to existing uncontrolled crossings at Ard McCool and Railway Road Junctions
  • realignment of Junction radii as appropriate
  • new road markings, signage, drainage works, landscaping and accommodation works
  • new public street lighting on Millbrae
  • new road alignment in order to standardise parallel parking at Millbrae Terrace
  • the project will be carried out in accordance with section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994
