Residents have access to local health services. The Department of Health and the Health Service Executive (HSE) work closely with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) to facilitate the delivery of health care services. Access to General Practitioner (GP) services is through the medical card system.
