Flood Risk Management Strategy and Estate Capital Programme Services

The role of the Flood Risk Management Strategy and Estate Capital Programme Services Division is to co-ordinate the development of national flood risk management policy, undertake national flood risk assessments and mapping, develop flood risk management plans and a climate change sectoral adaptation plan for flood risk management. The Division leads the coastal erosion risk assessment, and provides input to coastal change policy development (chaired by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage). The Division also co-ordinates the OPW’s climate action response and supports the OPW’s estate capital delivery functions through estate capital programme and project supports and the provision of Quantity Surveying services.
