Seachtain na Gaeilge is the largest Irish language festival in Ireland and to celebrate this, the OPW is hosting a series of events and tours ‘as Gaeilge’ at various OPW locations. Visitors will have the opportunity to take complimentary tours at various OPW locations including Casino Marino, Custom House Visitors Centre, Dublin Castle, Kilmainham Gaol Museum, National Botanic Gardens, Pearse Museum, Rathfarnham Castle and Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Kevin “Boxer” Moran said: “Seachtain na Gaeilge is the largest Irish language and culture festival in Ireland and what better way to immerse in our native language than to visit OPW heritage locations during this festival. The OPW is delighted to offer tours ‘as gaeilge’ as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge ensuring individuals, groups and families experience some of our most infamous heritage attractions through the Irish language”.
