District Inspector in the Office of Public Works

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government managing the Government’s estate portfolio, maintaining and presenting Ireland’s built heritage and managing Ireland’s flood risk.

Some of the most recognisable properties in the country are held by the OPW, having one of the largest and most diverse property portfolios, ranging from important buildings such as Dublin Castle to Garda stations and Government offices. Property Maintenance Services is responsible for the maintenance and restoration of OPW property.

The OPW is now recruiting for a suitably qualified and committed individual to take up the role of District Inspector in its Property Maintenance Services.

Mechanical Engineering Technician Grade I

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is the lead agency in coordinating flood risk management policy, the flood relief capital programme and the technical assessment of coastal change risks in Ireland.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) now requires additional staff at Mechanical Engineering Technician Grade I level in its Mechanical Engineering Field Services Section to support the flood risk management programme.

Vacancies currently exist in Newtown, Trim, Co. Meath, Headford, Co. Galway and Mungret, Co. Limerick. A panel will be formed from this competition to fill current and future vacancies that may arise in these locations.
