Responsibility at Principal Officer level for Flood Risk Management Policy Coordination and Development. This includes the following areas:
- Coordination and development of national flood risk management policy in line with Government objectives
- Input to the implementation of the EU Floods Directive in Ireland
- Operation of the 2017 Voluntary Homeowners Relocation Scheme
- Operation of the Remedial Works Scheme
- OPW engagement with Insurance Ireland
- OPW representation on the Government Task Force on Emergency Planning and relevant Subgroups
