Forensic Science Ireland is Ireland's Forensic Science Laboratory and is an associated office of the Department of Justice.

The mission of Forensic Science Ireland is to use robust science in the investigation of crime and produce balanced expert reports to support justice.

The Criminal Justice (Forensic Evidence and DNA Database System) Act was enacted on 23 June 2014 which provides for the establishment and operation of the National DNA Database system by Forensic Science Ireland.
