The National Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC) National Clinical Audit of Perinatal Mortality is the second audit to be quality assured by the NCEC and becomes No. 2 in the NCEC suite of National Clinical Audits.
The National Perinatal Epidemiology Centre (NPEC) collaborates with Irish maternity services to translate clinical audit data and epidemiological evidence into improved maternity care for families in Ireland. The Perinatal Mortality Audit is one of the NPEC suite of National Clinical Audits. The NPEC aligns its audit governance structures to the National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) has its own Governance Committee.
NCEC endorsement mandates that the appropriate services engage with the NCEC National Clinical Audit of Perinatal Mortality, thereby superseding all other national clinical audits on the topic.
