On the [ ] the Applicant was returning home with a friend when he was attacked by two males for no reason. He received a number of punches to the head before being chased and knocked to the ground where he was punched and kicked. The Applicant did not submit any vouchers in respect of losses sustained as a result of the incident. Pursuant to the terms of the Scheme the Tribunal may only award compensation for special damages suffered as a result of personal injuries sustained as a result of a criminal act of violence. In circumstances where there is no evidence of any special damages having been incurred the Tribunal makes no award in this instance.
