Budget 2021 is being framed at a time of unprecedented uncertainty as we continue to live with the Covid-19 pandemic and face the prospect of the UK trading with the EU on WTO terms from next January.

For 2020, the annual average LR figure is estimated to be 212,667, with expenditure estimated at €2,072m. The actual number of persons expected to be on the LR at end 2020 is expected between 226,000 and 229,000.
