This policy statement is centred on Ireland achieving its full potential as a destination for overseas tourism.
However, it is recognised that the domestic tourism market underpins the range of visitor accommodation and services that provide competitive advantage to Ireland in the international market and many of the measures contained in this statement will similarly benefit the domestic tourism sector.
