Introduction
The OPW has prepared a number of technical specifications and guidance notes that it makes use of when commissioning work, such as the design of flood relief schemes and the preparation of flood maps. These may be applied as relevant by other authorities where there is an intention to work with the OPW.
Guidance on the preparation of Scheme Climate Change Adaptation Plans (SCCAPs) as part of the design and implementation of new flood relief projects is provided here:

The specification the OPW applies for engineering spatial data, such as flood mapping data, is provided here.
All spatial data created for the Project must be produced and submitted according to the specifications documented in this standard.
