This Working Group is established to progress actions in the Government’s Action Plan in response to the Final Report of the Commission of Investigation (Mother and Baby Homes and certain related matters) which involve local authorities.
The actions in question relate to:
The Group will, following its deliberations, research and consultations with survivors and their families/survivor groups, issue guidance to assist all local authorities in implementing these actions.

Recognising the urgency involved for many former residents, it is anticipated that this working group will carry out its work as quickly as possible, with the aim of completing its terms of reference by the end of summer 2022.
