The role of the Chief Information Officer is to support the Department in achieving its strategic objectives through the provision and implementation of the digital strategy. The Information Management and Technology team is responsible for the development, support and maintenance of the Department’s applications, frameworks and software components and for the provision and maintenance of the Department’s IT infrastructure and delivery of operational IT services across the Department. It is responsible for providing digital services which ensure the Department can operate effectively and efficiently.
Operations is a core function within the Department which as well as enabling all other functions to operate effectively within a fast-paced and changing world. The Operations teams is responsible for all planning, risk management, project and change management across the pillar. The Operations teams also focuses on continuous improvement within the Department by setting and tracking key performance indicators and goals, as well as outside the Department by ensuring all customers experience consistent customer service.
