What the Foreign Language Assistant Scheme is
The Foreign Language Assistant Scheme aims to provide additional support to school communities to experience the target language and its culture with a native speaker.
Post-Primary Schools may apply to host assistants who speak the following languages:
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- Japanese

Closing Date for the January to March 2026 Claim Forms is Friday 6th of March 2026
Please note late submission of claim form may result in delay of payment.
Please ensure that you have also submitted a timetable for each assistant as claim forms cannot be processed without submission of a timetable.
