Building works for the construction, extension and refurbishment of schools. Information is provided on major works (greater than €1 million) and smaller scale devolved projects.

The emergency works scheme provides funding for urgent works to those schools that are most in need of resources as a result of an emergency situation or on receipt of an enrolment application from a special needs pupil.
The purpose of the Summer Works Scheme is to devolve funding to individual school authorities to undertake small-scale building works which, ideally, can be carried out during the summer months or at other times that avoid disrupting the operation of the school.
Third level building projects are managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) .
