If you are aged 18 years or older, this service allows you to apply for an age identity card.

In Ireland, alcohol cannot be legally purchased by anyone under the age of 18. The Intoxicating Liquor Act 1988 (Age Card) Regulations 2010 provides for a voluntary Age Card scheme, which proves an individual has reached the legal age for purchasing alcohol. An Age Card is a proof of age card and not an Identity Card.
