The Rental Accommodation Scheme is a social housing support which caters for the accommodation needs of certain people who are getting long-term Rent Supplement.
Under the scheme, private rented properties provide an additional source of good quality rental accommodation for eligible people.
To qualify, you must be getting Rent Supplement for a minimum period of 18 months and be assessed as having a long-term housing need.
Your local authority is responsible for the management and administration of the Rental Accommodation Scheme in your area.
